Our New Family at Groundbreaking

North Irwin neighbors and council members turned out in full force for groundbreaking activities on the seventh Central Westmoreland Habitat building project. The site, at the corner of Second and Washington, is a beautiful, level lot that was donated to CWHFH by the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County. The lot previously was home to a water tower.

November 21 work day that brought students from Central Westmoreland Career and Technology Center to the worksite. This is the second house they have helped to build. On the last one, they prefabbed roof trusses, but did not come to the worksite. This time, under the supervision of members of the Westmoreland Builders Association they not only did prefab work, but helped to erect their finished products onsite.
